Music Program

Andrew Crossler has been hired as our new Music Director. After a life time of participation in the music program of First United Methodist Church, Andrew has become our Music Director, in charge of both the chancel choir and the bell choir program.

Chancel Choir: This group sings every Sunday from fall through spring, exploring a variety of musical styles.  Youth grades 7 and up are invited to sing with adults.  Choir rehearsal is Thursday night from 6:45-8:00 PM.

Alpine Carillon Hand Bell Choir:  This is the premier handbell choir in the Moscow area.  Using five octaves of hand bells and of hand chimes, this group of adults plays for worship several times a year, as well as playing for community events.  They rehearse on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM.

Aldersgate Hand Bell Choir: This is an adult beginning hand bell choir, which also plays for worship on occasion. They also play for area nursing homes. They rehearse on Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM.

Tommy's Tinkler's Hand Bell Choir: This is an advanced youth hand bell choir which plays the full five octaves of both bells and chimes. They rehearse on Sunday afternoons at 12:15 PM. They play for worship and at the end of spring take a tour in the region with the goal of spreading the joy of hand bells to other churches.

Praise Ringers is the introductory children's hand bell choir. They begin to learn to read music using color coded sheet music. They rehearse on Sundays after worship at 11:45 AM. They play for worship on occasion. Children are invited to join this bell choir in 2nd grade.
