The United Methodist Campus Ministry at University of Idaho is a service-oriented student’s organization. Our mission is to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by supporting young adults through love, prayer, and selfless action. As United Methodists, we believe in keeping Open Minds, Open Hearts, and Open Doors in our ministry, mission, and daily lives.
Our students experience God in many ways including;
Community Building- Life is always better and easier when we build each other up and help each other out. Habitat for Humanity home building, fund-raising for the Moscow/Pullman Crop Walk, UI Blood Drive outreach, fund-raising for Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse, and Vandal CommunityTables with ASUI’s Center for Volunteerism and Social Action are among the community services you have the privilege of being a blessing to others in need.
Faith and Leadership- Every week, starting this fall at the Campus Christian Center, we learn and develop good leadership qualities using the book, HABITUDES: images that form leadership habits and attitudes (a faith-based resource). Students will focus on humility and servanthood, connecting and building trust, and listening and communication skills.
Church/Worship Service- You receive opportunities to serve in worship leading, singing in choir, playing hand bells or other instruments, ushering, serving as communion stewards, and serve on various church committees at Moscow First United Methodist Church.
Fellowship- There is also campus ministry fun and fellowship activities to be found at the Campus Christian Center at the University of Idaho. Every Friday, we hang out with really fun-loving students, build our own pizzas with free pizza fixings, play Wii Games on the CCC Flat Screen, watch movies, and develop new friendships. There is free food every Monday and coffee and cookies every day.
We love you and would be glad to connect with you.
